This was our first ever auction house experience although we used 'The Saleroom' to bid via the live stream. We won a number of items at excellent prices and the auctioneers were great. We found the whole process simple and easy and the sale room assistant team when we went to collect our treasures were marvellous and really put us at ease. Can't wait for the next auction!

Paid to register to bid via easylive but unfortunately they would not allow me to bid , yet i have over 180 successful purchases some of which from here and i will add none of the items actually worked. However i thought i would have another go at another auction but had a prejudice response saying i had a block so i cannot bid with them, i was not worthy.... will never buy from these again very unprofessional auctioneers. I dont have a block i was ripped off by an auction house and complained which apparently black lists me..i have tried to contact Easylive who are as much help as a chocolate teapot. AVOID

Awful experience only had the items appraised. Was told they could sell them we can sell anything in the first veiwing but when another lady rung back was told they couldn't sounded like she couldnt be bothered with all the work on the phone she was extremely rude. Was implied they had better things to sell. The items themselves when I picked them up were dusty and not well kept as they were not put back in the dust jackets folders were opened and left open and some on the card was bent in the other folders. NOT IMPRESSED To the reply I understand the lady was a professional and this was not her field but her tone on the phone was not called for. As for the general valuation we did say we would take them elsewhere if it was too hard for you to value without having to mess about. I do understand fully about the cellotape ones that is not in question the items I am on about were NOT sealed they were 6 large A4 ringbinders in black carrier bags that have been left out of the black bags to keep them clean it take 2 minutes to put back a plastic bag or put back the elastic back on a folder! More care needed for people's life collections.

Told to take items down ,when we did it was all a rush job ,no real explaination of how things worked .Then sent us an estimated value of the items but not explained to us that they take 98% off you and you end up with 2% this is daylight robbery .Plus had to pay £5.00 to withdraw a bulk of items as to cheap valuation ,I just wish I had never put anything in to start with.Keep well away.

Two stars for the 2 auctioneers, especially the bearded one, who both seem to really care about the items they're selling and also the people who are buying from them, especially in the auction room itself. Very decent experience, considering you are often there for several hours. It all falls apart with the staff who are there to give you your items. In most auction houses, there is a, sort of, respect for the people who have paid, sometimes quite considerable sums for the items in question. In this auction house you are treated like some sort of 'numpty' for having spent your money. You are the lowest of the low. You are below the staff, who feel they have the right to treat you how they wish. I recently spent £300 on various posters and magazines, all of which were displayed flat, in display folders. Previously, whenever I've bought posters they have all come with the display boards and backing. This time I was told in no uncertain terms that the display folders were the property of the auction house. The staff then proceeded to show me the "property of the auction house" stickers which were conveniently placed on the reverse of the folder and not shown in the photograph. That wouldn't have been so bad, had the staff not then, because I'd complained, proceeded to take out the posters and then fold them, before giving them to me, which, obviously, damaged their value. They did not like that I had complained and so they had decided that my items were not to be respected. They were not polite. They were the sort of staff I would not wish to deal with again. As said, both of the auctioneers were great, but the staff they employ, genuinely feel they are better than the 'numptys' buying from them. Only go to this auction house if they are selling something you genuinely need. You will be looked down on by the staff for your stupid buying habits otherwise. BEWARE!!!
